I met Rye a few months ago now and then more recently had the chance to meet her awesome little family. You can’t help but love this bunch. They are a compassionate family, genuine and down to earth and I was beyond excited with the idea of photographing them at their chicken coop. This was my first family session that I shot completely in film. So I was not only excited but kinda nervous. I was so happy with the results! Everything about the evening just flowed so effortlessly. When I arrived, they said “I hope you don’t mind, we were just going to wait for you to get here before we started on our chores!!!! It was perfect. Natural.
I’m still waiting on some medium format photos to get back from the lab but I just couldn’t wait to share what I’ve gotten back so far. Rye and I have some more ideas for a shoot later in the Summer which promises to be another fun and unique session. I can’t wait!!! Rye is also a photographer and so it’s always a treat to collaborate with others who enjoy something a little different than the norm.
